  If its anything like my old PO,he will get Drunk regularly and over eat.

  ...and yes his Kids most assuredly get special treatment if they are guilty of wrongdoing.

  What do you think of justice in the UK?

  there was a horrible story about a special-needs teacher this month who was subject to a campaign of violence and intimidation from local youths.

  the police ignored her repeated requests for action and in desperation, when she again saw her car being vandalised, she ran out brandishing an air-pistol to scare the yobs off.

  she was promptly arrested and sentenced to six months in prison.

  It sounds like the Adultery Law is one similar to the one in France (dont know if they still have it)of the Crime of passion Law?

  Its still outrageous though imo.

  Example #2... If I walk into my house and find my wife in bed with "someone" else I can shoot either of them on the spot with no criminal recourse... however I can't leave the scene go find a gun and hunt them down and kill them.... only at the time of the "crime".

  i think i spent the whole time i was in the Religion trying to convince myself it was the Truth and that the end was going to come definitely in my lifetime..after all, People who remembered 1914 would still be around when the end came right?

  Wrong!Because then the 1995 generation change kicked in and all my doubts that i had tried to suppress came bubbling to the surface until i realized for myself it most certainly wasnt the Truth and no End would come,at least, not the sort the JW,s promote.How i limped on for another 8 Years in the religion,giving talks ,being an MS,aux pioneering.....!!!???!!!!

  for years, i refused to think of the witnesses as a "cult".

  too harsh and restrictive of a word for me......but there is no denying that we were all in a mind controlling cult.

  are you embarrassed or uncomfortable knowing that you belonged to a cult just like the moonies and the branch davidians are/werw a cult?

  I feel pretty embarrassed and really stupid.

  But I was raised in it, so maybe it isn't entirely my fault. I agree with you Mulan,im fairly certain i would never have fallen for it all if i was contacted as an Adult via Door to Door work!

  The Rabbit Thing..

  i'm really sorry to hear about liquidsky's loss of her bunny.. however, virtually every woman i speak to these days says she wants a rabbit for her birthday.

  they seem to be really popular.

  one woman i know won't even go on holiday with her parents because she can't bear to be parted from her rabbit.. are rabbits taking over the world?

  I agree with you Dmouse.I think some Coppers are just literally scared to do any real Police Work because they may get hurt!That seems to be the way round my area anyway.

  They show a great reluctance to turn up to investigate muggings,assaulte etc...but you watch these Idiots in high vis jackets persecuting the average Motorist!Also does it really take 5 or 6 Policemen/women to check Peoples tax discs as they come off the local Dual-carriageway??

  This really winds the normal populace up and when they also keep seeing injustice upon injustice taking place in this Country its little wonder People have lost faith in the UK justice system.

  ..and i havent even started ranting about Judges in this Country!

  you wont discuss your own politics with out a browbeating from old hill.... but eman starts a thread about the us second amendment to it's consitution and all sorts of brits chime in.. for the record... i really dont care about your big-eared prince and his "gnawer"* new bride.... why do ya'all care about my guns?.

  *gnawer.. a woman so ugly that if one woke up in bed (after a drunken night) with her they would gnaw their arm off to escape...rather than chance waking her in the daylight.

  Chamberlain was a real stand up guy too.... Really, WWII was the result of a lot of bad calls by everyone who should have been worried about Hitler.....

  Hmm not certain i can agree with that.With the stroke of a pen Czechoslovakia was sold out,in no small part by Chamberlain himself.Maybe he desperately wanted to avoid the similar carnage of WW1, though cant blame him for that,but im still glad he vacated the seat of PM in favour of Winnie!
